The most common question we get asked at Yoodlize is:

“What if something happens to my stuff?” 

This is the first question we get from people who want to list their items for the first time, and we understand the concern.

We’re happy to say the Yoodlize community is incredible! Damage claims are rare. 

With that said, we’ve implemented multiple protections for both owners and renters:

  1. User verification

  2. Profiles and reviews

  3. Property damage protection

User verification

Before renters can book items on Yoodlize, they provide their name, phone number, email and payment info. To become fully verified, we also require government ID. We recommend that you only rent to fully verified users.

Additionally, as an owner, you have the option to set your own rules—for example, specify that an item must be cleaned before it’s returned or that renters must have experience using the item.

Profiles and reviews

Before you approve a rental, you can check out a user’s profile and reviews from previous rentals. People receive a review only after a completed rental so you know that feedback is based on actual experiences. You can also chat with the person in advance by messaging in the app.

Property damage protection

Yoodlize provides damage protection up to $2,000 at no additional cost with every booking to fully verified renters. We plan to increase that amount to protect bigger-ticket items, so stay tuned for that announcement.


With these protections in place, you can list your items with confidence, knowing that Yoodlize has you covered on the rare occasion something unfortunate happens to your item.
